The team here at Thornbridge are passionate about nature and wildlife. As such, we have partnered with a charity called Rewilding Britain and the firm has committed to make a contribution every time a new client is onboarded. Rewilding is the process of restoring ecosystems to allow nature to thrive and encourage the return of threatened or rare species. Rewilding Britain was set up in 2015 to tackle the climate emergency and extinction crisis, reconnect people with the natural world and to help communities thrive.
Rewilding Britain’s vision is to see rewilding flourishing across Great Britain and restore 30% of land and sea for nature by 2030. To do this, it aims to expand the scale, quality and connectivity of our native habitats by tackling the species extinction crisis, climate emergency, sustaining communities and reconnecting us with the natural world. It encourages the return of threatened and missing species and embraces the ebb and flow of nature, allowing animals, plants, birds and the elements to shape our landscapes and habitats over time.
Offering hope for a world where we all understand that we’re part of nature, rather than separate from it, Rewilding Britain wants us all to acknowledge and understand the scale of destruction and degradation that is being foisted on the planet. To do this, it champions rewilding and shares its expertise with anyone interested in putting it into practice, influencing policy and legislation, helping to get locally-led initiatives off the ground and connecting people and organisations to create a broad network of rewilders and supporters.
